I waked in on a Saturday right after opening time. The owner was tending the bar. This place had a very warm welcoming feeling. You could really feel the history here. They had about 6 beers on draft and a great variety of other drinks. I hear this is the place to be later on. Live music atmosphere, but the early crowd was nice with great jazz playing. They have old style on draft. Score. This is a solid bar with great atmosphere. Will definitely come back next time I am in town.

Pete the bartender wouldn't not offer me a water. Had to go elsewhere just to get water, I didn't even care that i had to pay for it. Just the simple fact that the bartender clearly stated that he'd been waiting to ID me and was mad that I wasn't really ordering anything.

Karaoke every Monday from 10pm-1am Open mic/open jam every Tuesday 10pm-2am Thursday - $2 beer night This place may not have food but it did used to have the best coney dogs in town 15 years ago. This bar is a diamond in the rough, being one of the only true "everyone's welcome" or even almost "anything goes" type bar in all of Michiana. If you're looking for a great atmosphere with plenty of experience soaked into the walls, this is the place for you!

This is my go-to DTSB bar. The drinks are very cheap and the atmosphere is what I want from a bar. Quiet during earlier hours (we love getting take out and walking over to McCormicks to eat it with a couple beers), and fun, loud, and crazy late at night. They do karaoke on Mondays, have tons of bands coming in to play, affordable cover charges, and did I mention CHEAP drinks. Seriously, on a night with a good special, you can get wasted here for $20. They also just swapped out the Golden Tee machine for Mortal Kombat (YAS). I ALWAYS have a good time at McCormicks.

I don't know why this has coney island in the name, because it sure as hell didn't have food. What it DID have, was two pool tables, an internet jukebox, and an awesome lady bartender. Generous pours, shots being awarded for best beard in the bar, random dancing to all the songs. Yes this place is dirty and run down and smokey and not for the faint of heart. The drinks are cheap, and so is the crowd. Check it out.

In the strange over-Androgeny that is South Bend lies McCormicks- Expect guys playing cards, Las Vegas transplants and old men from Mishawaka singing crude tunes with names like "Bang Me" all nicely packaged on the banks of the St. Joseph Riviera. A Michiana Gem.

If you don't mind getting hickory cured by cigarette smoke this place is for you. Don't be fooled by the taps, whatever beer their serving will be in bottles and will probably be listed on a piece of paper taped up behind the bar. Fun atmosphere, cheap drinks. If the night is gonna get rowdy, I'm usually here at some point.
